The American Hospital Radiology Administrators (circa 1973), now The Association for Medical Imaging Management (not TAMIM, still AHRA) had its 46th Annual Meeting in Orlando last week. Being on the exhibitor side of the fence, the affair seemed smaller, less crowded than previous years. Maybe it was the venue, The Gaylord Palms. A covered town pretty much, no reason to venture out unless you brought the kids and then Disney was just an $8 Uber away. Great facility, great exhibitors, and from what I heard, the breakout sessions were topic relevant, current to practice and technology, and presented by concerned authentic professionals. Oh, and AI was hardly whispered all week, except by the exhibitors presenting the technology. But now it seems they want to create an AI/HI breed of Intelligence. A BORG if you will. Here’s what I get out of AI…Collect your critical data into a format anyone or any machine can compile, analyze, and report quickly while segmenting attributes for mega-data dissemination.
I have no idea if that makes sense, but it sounded kind of techie.
